February half term training camp and specialist Goalkeeper camp

On Friday 21st February we will be running a training camp day and specialist Goalkeeper camp. These sessions will take place at St Aidan's CE High School in Harrogate.

TRAINING CAMP
This will be run by our Head Coach Jon Maloney along with other Future Lioness coaches. Activities throughout the day will include skill development, ball mastery work, games and most importantly plenty of fun!

​​​​​​​​​​​​​This will be run by Kelly Jackson-Powell who is a FA qualified coach with over 15 years experience and is the Lead Goalkeeping Coach with Go 2 College Soccer. Kelly will be working on a number of key goalkeeping technical areas with the players on camp. During her playing career, Kelly was the number one goalkeeper at Harrogate Town for four years and was a key part of the team that went undefeated in their inaugural season. Aimed at anyone who is looking to elevate their goalkeeping skills, this session will have a specific focus on the specialist skills required in goalkeeping, therefore is an absolute must for anyone wanting to master the basics of goalkeeping!

Are all your staff DBS accredited? Yes

What First Aid facilities are available? The Future Lioness team are First Aid trained and are equipped with a comprehensive First Aid Kit on site.

What should I wear? Any comfortable sportswear/training kit, astro trainers/astro boots (Due to the 3G surface, metal studs/flat trainers are not permitted) and shinpads. We would recommend bringing a light waterproof jacket if possible. (For our goalkeeper camp please bring goalkeeper gloves.)

My child has never played football - can they attend? Absolutely! We welcome all levels of ability.

Do I need to bring anything with me? All children should bring a packed lunch/drink and any snacks they wish to have, along with any required medication (e.g. inhaler). For our goalkeeper camp please bring goalkeeper gloves.

Are there toilet/changing facilities? Yes toilet/changing facilities are available pitch-side.

What will happen if it rains? The 3G All Weather surface ensures we can continue with training (We would recommend bringing a waterproof jacket if possible)

Do I have to be attending the Future Lioness PDC Training sessions to attend the February half term camps? No - Our February half term training session/goalkeeper camp is open to everyone!
